My drivers side bulb is the one that went out so I changed both just to make sure the brightness would match...well the drivers side still isn't working and I know I did it right because the passenger side came right on...any suggestions?...

I'm watching this video for my 2011 Kia Optima. I had watched many videos on this, but Mr. Campbell has given me hope. I had a kind worker at Autozone assist me in snow/rain/wind and got it in place. I drove it home and it was out by the time I got home. It was difficult to get the new bulb in. I gave the Autozone dude a $50.00 bill for his efforts. It stopped working shortly thereafter. It was not the Autozone dudes lack of trying, it's a KIA poor design. I'm going to try to use this video to make it work again. Thanks to Mr. Campbell for your help/instruction. You have the voice of Baz Luhrmann (he's the voice of 'Wear Sunscreen' fame music/song).

My problem is the low light bulb keeps going on and off hitting the side of the bumper fixed the issue for a day and the next day it stop working, I went to buy a new light bulbs and it didn’t turn on either I checked the fuses and they all seem to be fine idk what else could be causing the problem

Thank you for this video! I just replaced both of my low beam headlights on my 2012 Kia Optima. I spent $47 (w/ tax) and 20 minutes replacing them. My hands are small, so I only had to remove the coolant tank on the passenger side. On the driver's side I just crammed my hand in there and it worked out. Thanks again, your instructions were very helpful!

I don't understand something inside the panel car the low beam lights is on but outside is no working so I don't know if is the fused or the bulbs

FYI if it helps anyone: Just recently learned while changing the low beams that Optima's with HID bulbs have a screw at the 6 o'clock position on the cover. Very convenient. Guess I've been fortunate that in all my years of driving and replacing headlights none of the covers have ever come off.

Lol every video I watch says simply turn the bulb to remove it, but mine won't turn. It's like someone glued it or something it just won't turn. My passenger side was tough but I got it. Driver side won't turn at all. Maybe it's corroded, but the water seal cap was on properly. Idk. Just gonna have to keep trying.

Hi derek how did you unplug the bulb as im haveing issues doin it to my 2013 kia rio as its similiar bulb i unscrewed the 2 bolts it has and couldnt remove the bulb

Mine has screws in it and my fingers are literally cut and bleeding because I couldn't get the bulb out.

I am trying to replace these halogens with LEDs and i was successful in replacing for high beam and fog lights. But the issue I have is that the, for high beams, should I put the back cover, back on the light or is it ok to leave the bulbs exposed from back? Great video, btw. Saved me a lot of hassel.

I got the bulb out easily, but when I try to replace it I just can't get it to turn into place. I believe it is lined up properly but it just won't turn. Should I use pliers? Any suggestions?

What model bulb? I have one that went on my wife’s car.

I have a 2013 optima sxl with hid, the stupid cover has a screw I would recommend a angle Philips screwdriver, then remove the clip and install and use gloves.

Dude, thanks for posting! It took me a while to twist it out (thought) I would break it until I saw your video. Once you do it, it's snap(literally).

So I would love to know why it is that my headlights in my 2015 Optima are so damn bright?! I have caused 2 different drivers who were in front of me at night to pull over because I'm blinding the poor people or no matter what...every single night if I'm driving people coming towards me in the opposite direction will flash me their high beams. Why are the low beams so bright in these cars??

What size are the bolts holding down the coolant tank? I need to find a socket that fits them.
